13. Praia da Galheta:

16. Praia da Armação:

26. Fortress Santa Cruz de Anhatomirim


This Fortress closes the trio of fire that defended the Island of Magic in the 18th century.

Although it is located on Anhatomirim Island, today under the jurisdiction of the Municipality of Governador Celso Ramos, this Fort cannot be left out when visiting the historic sights of Florianópolis.

Headquarters of the first government of the Captaincy of Santa Catarina, the first to be adopted by UFSC and also the first to be revitalized, it now receives 65% of the contingent of people who visit the fortresses annually.

27. Fortress of Santo Antônio de Ratones


The Fortress of Santo Antônio de Ratones is located on the Ilha de Ratones, situated between Gamboa and Sambaqui.

Together with Fortaleza São José da Ponta Grossa and Fortaleza Santa Cruz de Anhatomirim, they were responsible for protecting the island of Florianópolis in the 18th century.

Due to time, the site was in ruins until the early 1990s, when the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) began repair work on the site.

28. Natural Pools Trail:


The trail starts at Praia da Barra da Lagoa (after the bridge in the center of the neighborhood) and is super quiet, without many difficulties or obstacles, just a few stones that need a little attention, but nothing to scare.

With a maximum of 30 minutes of walking, just enjoy and dive in the crystalline waters of the Natural Pools of Barra da Lagoa.

29. Lagoinha do Leste Trail:


The famous Lagoinha do Leste trail is much sought after by adventurers. The trail starts in two places: Pântano do Sul or Praia do Matadeiro. The first option requires more effort in less time (about 60 min) and the second option requires less effort in more time (about 3 h), but the entire route is accompanied by several spectacular landscapes. Finally, it has a beautiful sea waiting for an invigorating swim!

But it doesn't stop there, if you still have enough breath to face another 50 min of climbing, there is a trail leaving the beach towards Pedra da Coroa, a place that provides a spectacular panoramic view of the region.

If you run out of breath to return by trail, we have good news: it is possible to return by boat to Pântano do Sul.

30. Costa da Lagoa Trail:


In general, the trail is considered light to moderate and for most of the time, the route is carried out on flat terrain. The walk, which starts at Canto dos Araçás, goes through the Atlantic Forest and has several attractions along the way, such as, for example, Dona Lóquinha's mansion, mills, 18th-century houses, villages and homemade restaurants that offer delicious fruits of the sea.

If you want, you can go to Costa da Lagoa by boat and stop at one of the many restaurants there to eat a “Sequência de Camarão”, several shrimp dishes at a very good price.

31. Caminho da Gurita Trail:


The trail is considered peaceful and its final destination is a waterfall with several natural pools! With a flat and signposted path, the duration is approximately 1 hour of walking and passes through some 19th century ruins, mills and streams. It starts at Praia da Armação. Oh, and there are good structures of stalls and restaurants available to visitors.

34. Hercílio Luz Bridge:


One of the postcards of the city, the Bridge was banned for 28 years, but after a renovation it was opened not long ago. It has one of the most beautiful images of Florianópolis, with the blue sky and the sun in the background.

35. Hercílio Luz Square and Parque da Luz:


Parque da Luz is a green leisure area right in the center of Floripa and has space for walks and a playground. Sometimes, it is the starting point for those who want to get to know the Bridge.

The location is wonderful and has a belvedere where you can enjoy the view of the South Bay, North Bay and continental Beira Mar.

In the square there is a monument in honor of Hercílio Luz, who lends his name to the square and the bridge.

36. Metropolitan Cathedral of Florianópolis:


Among so many attractions, there is the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral of Florianópolis, the most important Catholic symbol of the island and seat of the Archdiocese of Florianópolis.

The neoclassical building that exists today was completed in 1773 and is quite simple. Due to the wide staircase in front, you will definitely recognize the Cathedral when walking through the Center. Take the opportunity to enter and discover the Museum that has rare pieces of sacred art.

37. Avenida Beira Mar Norte:


Avenida Jornalista Rubens de Arruda Ramos, or simply Avenida Beira Mar, is always full of people walking, practicing outdoor physical activities, playing with bicycles, scooters, skateboards and rollerblades.

Skirting the mainland, it is located in one of the noblest neighborhoods in Florianópolis. It is even there that the most luxurious building in the Capital is located. In the late afternoon, the boardwalk is always very busy.

Lookouts in Floripa

38. Viewpoint of Morro da Cruz:


One of the most famous viewpoints in the city, it is about 285 meters high and is 5 km away from the center. To get to the Mirante do Morro da Cruz is very easy, you can go by car, uber, taxi and public transport (line 160).

Upon arriving at the lookout, visitors are faced with a panoramic view of the city, such as the central region, the southern and northern bays and the continental region. The good news is that you pay nothing to access the lookout point, contemplate the landscape and take beautiful pictures!

40. Viewpoint of Morro das Pedras:


In the South region, 20 km away from the center, is the Mirante do Morro das Pedras. It has a good structure, including parking available. With a panoramic view of Praia da Armação, it is impossible not to fall in love with the local landscape. Visiting hours at the Mirante do Morro das Pedras are from 8am to 6pm.


41. Island of Campeche


Campeche Island is, without a doubt, one of the incredible places in Florianópolis where you won't regret booking 1 day for it in your itinerary.

With crystal clear turquoise waters, no waves and white sand, Campeche Island is part of IPHAN's National Archaeological and Landscape Heritage and has a daily limitation of visitors, as well as a limited length of stay. All this special care makes the beauty of the place remain intact and incredible!

To get to Campeche Island there are three starting points: Praia da Armação, Praia do Campeche and Praia da Barra da Lagoa. By Praia da Armação, the journey takes approximately 30 minutes and the cost of the vessel is between R$ 70.00 and R$ 120.00 (depending on the time of year).

From Praia do Campeche, the speedboats take just 5 minutes to reach the island and cost from R$ 150.00 per person, but the longest route is from Praia da Barra da Lagoa, approximately 1h20min and the prices of the boats range from BRL 120.00 to BRL 180.00 (depending on the period of the year).

In addition to enjoying the sea, it is possible to take guided ecological trails through the interior of Campeche Island. Prices: Short Trail R$10.00, East Trail R$25.00, North Trail R$35.00 and Underwater Trail R$60.00.
